I mean, look at the real shields used by Han dynasty army, they look much better than the CA fictioned ones.Īlso for the armours, look at these works about Han military, they have more sophisticated structurea and cover more parts of the body. I am not asking for a 100% accurate game, I just dont think the stuff we see can be defined as either accurate or fancy. The broad bronze swords had been abandoned long before 3K time and most shields in the game are also completely fiction. Somehow CA decided to not learning from any of them and make soldiers in their game to wear leather armours which left absolutely no trace in the 3K time period. I even heard that a book about ancient Chinese armours were given to CA by Chinese fans a long time ago. There are tons of books and documents about Chinese armour design during Han dynasty period, there are also a lot of Chinese art works that show them rather accurately. Half of the armours and weapons displayed in the game either are from another time period or dont even exist at all.
